Here are the jobs that the group is working on.

Duties (Ideas will be included from all of individuals- during or after tours)
Thy Pham: Videotaping
Brook Fox: Maps
Samantha Lee: Researching Questions/ Notes
Georginia Fitzpatrick: Taking Notes from the Tour/ Photography
Natalie Bellevue: Timeline
Zsolt Plaszko: Photography
All Group: PowerPoint- includes Photos and Videotext

Some of the maps have been hard to find because I still need to find a good map from the 1600s. I found maps from the 1700s, 1800s, 1900s, 2000s, and the current year map. Its been interesting to see how each map is different from each other and how much the area has changed. If you look at the map from each year, you will find that it seems like the population has doubled or tripled. It makes me wonder what the future will look like and it makes me wonder what happens when we run out of room. You know what I mean?

Dorms

Living in the dorms has been hard on me since I left home to be here at Gallaudet. Sometimes I long to be back home but at othertimes, I like the freedom that I have here, parents cant tell me when to to go to bed, can't tell me what i can do or can't and I love that.

But at the same time, being home and spending that time with your family is priceless. You want to savor every moment you spend with your family, even with the pain in the butt sisters that you may or mat not have? Anyway, the point that I'm trying to make is that I perfer being home with my family rather than being living in the dorms surronded by people who drink and smoke all the time.

Also I dont feel as if theres an history with the dorms. The dorms are to me, just a place to live that you have to share with a roommate and thats the part that sucks is that you only get half a room rather than a room to yourself and i would love to have a room to myself.

Ideal College Campus

WHen I saw the assignment on blackboard about having to draw a map of the ideal college campus, I thought it was ironic to say the least. Why? Well everybody that has ever known me knows that I cant draw worth a damn. I cant even make a stright line without the aid of a ruler for crying out loud. Anyway, my ideal college campus would be a lot like Gallaudet. Let me explain, why.

The one thing that I love most about the campus here is that the buldings arent spaced that far apart from each other so for someone like me who has a busy morning schedule, this makes it eaier for me to get to my classes. I expect the same can be said for everybody here. I want to do the same thing for my ideal campus.

The last thing I want in my ideal college campus is apartments. If we had apartments on campus, we wouldnt have to share a room with someone else and better yet, have more room to place our things. I mean, having less than half a room doesnt provide us with a lot of space to place our belongings in a way to stay organized. Staying orgainzed is in my opinion why some people are having trouble in school.

Thats about it for my ideal college campus, now i gotta fiqure out how to post the video on here.
